Captain America: The Winter Soldier is another marvel Avenger movie and the second Captain America installment. It seems like there is a superhero movie that comes out every other month, but when they continue to earn an uber amount of money, that trend will continue. These movies may be coming out at a rapid pace, but at least they are putting good product out there for audiences to watch. Another reason why movie goers keep coming back.
This time around, Captain America seems to be headed for a crossroad, as his image apparently needs to be altered. To aid in this rebranding, a stoic Robert Redford is casted to help – but let’s just say he probably doesn’t have the best intentions – and the always beautiful Scarlett Johansson is present as Black Widow. Hopefully she kicks as much ass in this as she does in Iron Man 2.
I was not crazy about Captain America: The First Avenger, but I am encouraged with the next chapter in the story. Marvel has done an excellent job in building these characters and developing this world, where all of the Avengers are present in some capacity. Each story is seemingly integrated into the subsequent movies, as the timeline stays true to previous films.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters on April 4, 2014.
