Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer

The day has finally come. We got a Star Wars trailer and it is filled with all the nostalgia and excitement every Star Wars fan could have expected. Like, who didn’t pump their fist when the Millennium Falcon bursted onto the screen with the familiar John Williams score playing? Like, seriously, the emergence of the Millennium Falcon to the classic John Williams score might be my favorite moment of 2014. It’s perfect, it’s really perfect.

J.J. Abrams has been up to his usual self and kept this project under wraps, with only minimal images from the set surfacing for our eyes to see. Obviously, there is rampant speculation on the plot of the film and this teaser does little to even hint at what the plot is, other than the return of the dark side and its ultimate clash with the light. In other words: Star Wars.

Good for John Boyega, who is the first face we see in the first Star Wars trailer and he is decked out stormtrooper gear to boot. The cast list for this film is quite prolific, with the likes of Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, and Lupita Nyong’o listed and then there is the returning trio of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher. Just wait until we get a glimpse of more of the cast in the forthcoming trailers. The internet will enjoy it.

Also, just a guess, but I’m putting it in writing that Adam Driver is that caped villain who is brandishing a lightsaber resembling a medieval sword. He seems like he the type of person who would play a sith lord.

The Force Awakens hits theaters on December 18, 2015. May the force be with you.
